Read Institute of Texas (RIT) was established in year 2000, and approved by The Secretary of State, The State of Texas on November 10, 2000, as a Non-Profit Educational Organization. The Institute was fully functional by December 2000 and started its operation after winter vacation from January 08, 2001 as an after-school program.

Later, on October 31, 2001 the Institute was granted recognition as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an Organization described in section 501 (c) (3), by the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service.

RIT, has ever since been committed to provide to the community, a service par excellence in the field of education and mannerism for young children and serving the society as whole. In year 2003, on the explicit demand of the parents, the Institute started pre-kindergarten and kindergarten full day school, under the license issued by the State and permit by the City of Plano/Allen.

Methodology used, is Montessori based for teaching Language, Math, Science Geography,  Practical Life, and Cultural Science. The teachers are Montessori qualified from the American Institutions. Teacher/ children ratio maintained in the School is above the minimum standard laid down by the State of Texas, this ensures maximum supervision and imparting high level teaching to the students.
